Melton Little is one of seven (7) attorneys out of more than 90,000 members of the Florida Bar to be board certified in both marital and family law and civil trial law. In addition to marital and family law, his practice areas include personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice. Mr. Little has received numerous awards for his involvement in the community.

Little is one of seven attorneys, out of more than 90,000 members of the Florida Bar, to be board certified in both marital and family law, and civil trial law. Little became board certified in marital and family law in June of 1993 and board certified in civil trial law in June of 2004. His practice is in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and marital and family law. Little is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
Little has received numerous awards for his involvement in the community, including the Boys & Girls Club of Manatee County Man & Youth Award (1999) and the Boys & Girls Club of America National Medallion (2003). The medallion is the highest award given by the National Boys & Girls Club to a volunteer. He served over 22 years on the Boys & Girls Club of Manatee County Board and was chosen as one of the Boys and Girls Clubs Magnetic Men.

Little is also the recipient of the Manatee County Bar Association Community Service Award (2004), the Lawton Chiles Business Community Award (2011) and the Manatee County Bar Association Lifetime Achievement Award (2013).

He recently completed four years of service as an appointed member of the Manatee County Children’s Services Tax Advisory Board. Little has served as the vice chairman of the Keep Manatee Beautiful Board, vice chairman of the New Options Board, and chairman of the Manatee County Democratic Party. Little is active with the Chamber of Commerce and various other civic organizations.

He is currently the president of the South Park Athletic Foundation, a non-profit group seeking to bring indoor sports facility to Manatee County. He also has served as a Bayshore High School Varsity Football assistant coach.

Little’s interests include sports, tennis and reading. He has two sons and resides in Bradenton, Fla.
